Meet Our Staff
Katie Swenson, PTA, CLT
Katie graduated from the Physical Therapy Assistant program at Sacramento City College in 2013 and began her career at an outpatient physical therapy clinic that specialized in Lymphedema care. While there, she developed a love for Lymphedema Therapy and went on to get her certification to become a CLT from the Norton School of Lymphatic Therapy in 2015.
Since then, she has also worked in home health where she discovered a passion for learning exercises and activities to help improve balance and prevent falls in the elderly community. In 2023 Katie volunteered at Camp WatchMe where she rekindled her love and passion for Lymphedema care. This rekindled passion led her to the wonderful team at Capitol Physical Therapy.
In her time away from work she enjoys drawing, painting, being outdoors and getting lost in a great book. But what she loves most is spending time with her friends and family.
