Lucas Myers, PT, DPT

Lucas attended Walla Walla University for his undergraduate studies and received both an Associate’s Degree in Pre-Physical Therapy and a Bachelor’s Degree in Health Science, as well as certification as an athletic trainer. While he was in school, he also worked for Capitol Physical Therapy as an aide, gaining invaluable real world experience along the way. He then attended Loma Linda University and received his Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2019.

Lucas grew up with multiple family members who are physical therapists, and had the additional opportunity to be exposed to the profession while observing a family member diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis and another family member who had multiple orthopedic surgeries. Via this exposure, along with wanting to combine passions for sports and medicine, Lucas knew early on that this was the profession for him.

Throughout his schooling, Lucas has completed clinical rotations in inpatient, outpatient, and acute rehabilitation settings, and has learned directly from specialists in vestibular rehab and neurological rehab. His areas of passion in the profession include sport-specific recovery and training, vestibular rehab, and working with patients who have traumatic or degenerative neurological disorders.

Having been born and raised in Sacramento, Lucas is excited to be back home after attending schools elsewhere. When not helping patients at Capitol Physical Therapy, Lucas volunteers as a football coach for his old high school, Sacramento Adventist Academy. He also has yet to find a sport that he does not enjoy watching or playing.
