Meet Our Staff

Cary Caulfield

Cary Caulfield, PT

Cary has been a licensed physical therapist in the state of California since 1996. He received his Bachelor’s Degree in Health Sciences from California Lutheran University, and his Master’s in Physical Therapy from the College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific. Cary earned a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist certificate from the National Strength and Conditioning Association in 2000.

In 2005, Cary and his wife Alysa, also a licensed physical therapist, purchased Capitol Physical Therapy. Cary has worked in a variety of settings including out patient orthopedics, skilled nursing facilities, home health, and as an adjunct faculty member at Azusa Pacific University. Currently, he is a physical therapist consultant for the SI-BONE company and a practice monitor for the Physical Therapy Board of California. Cary has served the American Physical Therapy Association and the California Physical Therapy Association as an appointed member to national and chapter task forces, an elected board member at the district level, and as an appointed member of the California Chapter Government Affairs Committee. Cary has developed specialties in Chronic Pain, Orthopedics, SI Joint Dysfunction, Concussion Management, and Functional Capacity Testing with special interests in balance dysfunction, headache management, tempomandibular dysfunction (TMJ), and pain management.

Outside of work commitments, Cary spends time with his family. He loves being a fan of his young adult children’s sports interests of baseball and gymnastics. He also serves as an athletic trainer for Granite Bay High School, providing athletic training services and injury management for all sports athletes. Cary enjoys being with friends, camping, butter pecan syrup from IHOP and working on self-improvement activities.

Cary strives to make Capitol Physical Therapy a center of excellence. He is dedicated to treating every patient as an individual, and providing them all of necessary tools to improve their lives. Cary is dedicated to developing his staff to provide high quality physical therapy that is efficient and efficacious, all while focusing on patient outcomes. Cary believes this approach is what will change people’s lives and create success, for the patients and staff.
